Alex Espinoza Vega is the Founder and Executive Director of Violet Waters, where he leads a dynamic team across real estate, law, and consulting. With over a decade of experience in legal analysis, public policy, and business strategy, Alex brings a cross-sector approach to solving complex challenges. He previously served in legal and legislative roles at Cogent Communications and on the U.S. House Committees on Homeland Security, Foreign Affairs, and the Judiciary. Alex is a licensed Real Estate Broker in Washington, D.C. and Arizona. He holds a B.A. in Foreign Policy and National Security from American University, an M.A. in International Law and Security Studies from the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law at ASU, and is currently pursuing his J.D. at the University of Baltimore School of Law. His work bridges industries and institutions, with a focus on equity, clarity, and impact.

Eric Weiler

Director of Technology (CTO)

Eric Weiler is a seasoned software engineer and cloud technology expert with nearly a decade of experience designing and developing scalable digital solutions. He currently serves as a Software Development Engineer II at Amazon Web Services (AWS), where he builds secure, high-performance systems for global-scale infrastructure. Prior to AWS, Eric held several roles at Capital One, where he led development on internal web applications and contributed to the widely used Capital One Android app. His technical expertise spans full-stack engineering, serverless architecture, cloud infrastructure (AWS), mobile development, and secure systems. Eric earned his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Virginia Tech, where he was active in IEEE. He also holds AWS Developer and Solutions Architect Associate certifications. As VWG's CTO, Eric leads the charge on innovation, digital operations, and technology strategy—ensuring the firm's platforms are efficient, resilient, and future-ready.

Hayley Levine

Director of Marketing (VP)

Hayley Levine is an accomplished marketing strategist with a track record of executing high-impact campaigns and driving measurable brand growth. As Marketing Coordinator at Cogent Communications, she has led integrated inbound marketing initiatives that resulted in a 15% increase in lead value and enhanced brand recognition. Hayley brings deep expertise in digital content development, CRM optimization, social media management, and strategic event coordination—managing over 250 branded events annually. She holds a degree from American University, where she developed the communication and analytical skills that fuel her success today. Her cross-platform content strategies and data-driven insights play a pivotal role in advancing Violet Waters' visibility, outreach, and client engagement.

Nickolaus Mack

Director of Governmental Affairs, (VP)

Nickolaus Mack serves as Vice President and Director of Governmental Affairs at Violet Waters, where he leads the firm's government relations, policy strategy, and legislative advocacy initiatives. In this role, he advises clients and leadership on political, regulatory, and public policy strategy while helping guide federal, state, and local engagement efforts.

Nick brings experience across government, research, and political organizing. Prior to joining Violet Waters, he worked as a Research Analyst at Altrata, where he analyzed global leadership and institutional data. Earlier in his career, he worked in the U.S. Senate for Senator Tim Kaine and held roles in policy advocacy and political organizing, including serving as a Senior Field Organizer for a U.S. House of Representatives campaign in Alaska.

Nick is a graduate of American University. His background across policy research, government relations, and political organizing positions him to help Violet Waters expand its government affairs practice and connect clients to strategic opportunities in the public sector.

Iris Calderon, CPA

Director of Tax

Iris Calderon is a seasoned tax professional based in Phoenix, AZ, with extensive expertise in business tax return preparation and strategic tax planning. Iris helps both individuals and companies navigate complex tax needs, ensuring compliance and optimization. Known for her meticulous attention to detail and client-first approach, she consistently delivers tailored solutions that maximize efficiency and minimize tax liability.

Riky Serrano

Director of Real Estate (VP)

Riky Serrano is a dynamic professional with over a decade of experience spanning real estate, IT infrastructure, and operations leadership. Currently a licensed Realtor in Arizona, Riky brings a client-first approach to every transaction, informed by years of property management systems expertise and enterprise technology oversight. Before transitioning into real estate, Riky served as IT Support Manager at Lat33 Capital, where he led IT strategy and operations for a national property management firm. He has also held leadership and engineering roles at Vanguard, Epic Home Realty, and Standard Chartered Bank—supporting mission-critical financial systems and high-stakes trading environments. Riky earned his Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from Saint Peter's University. His multifaceted background enables him to deliver not only expert real estate guidance but also deep operational insight and systems thinking—making him a cornerstone of Violet Waters Group's integrated service model.
